Chatty Pianist Salon Concert

Next Friday (16th of December) music lovers in New York will gather around the piano for an intimate salon concert by “Chatty Pianist” Emir Gamsızoğlu. The host of the evening is an avid fan of Gamsızoğlu’s concerts at Caffe Vivaldi (2013-16). A retired flight attendant, Ms. Brown says when she used to travel around Europe, she kept hearing about salon concerts, people getting together in their houses to listen to music performed live, which sounded so magical to her. And she always wanted to host such evenings.

Chatty Pianist concept attracts listeners of all ages and backgrounds. Gamsızoğlu’s cafe concerts were inspired by a European tradition; Schubertiades, going back to composer Franz Schubert and his friends’ casual gatherings.

In his salon concert Emir Gamsızoğlu will play a program of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert, and chat about each composer’s life and work. Guests (only 20 seats available), will be watching Emir Gamsızoğlu perform only a few feet away while sipping their wines.
